Selecting a TMA Block to Segment

To select a TMA block to segment, do the following:

1. On the main Aperio eSlide Manager page, select the List all command from the Digital Slides menu.

2. From the list of eSlides, click the check box beside one to select it, then click Open Data.

3. When the Digital Slides Detail page appears, go to the Digital Slide Images window pane and directly below the image, click Segment TMA.

4. The TMA Blocks page will appear and you will be prompted to select an existing TMA block or create a new one. Click the radio button beside an existing TMA block, then click  Select TMA Block or, to create a new block, point to the TMA Blocks menu and select Add TMA Blocks.  After creating the new TMA block, select it by clicking its radio button.

5. When you click Add TMA Blocks, the Edit TMA Map page appears.  Adjust the sectors on the grid by dragging and dropping them onto the image map.  You may also click Center Spots and specify a size, or Auto Segment.  If you choose to Auto Segment the TMA map, you will see a status message informing you that automatic segmentation is occurring.  When the operation is finished, the grid sectors will appear on the TMA map.

6. Click Submit when you are satisfied with the results.  You will return to the TMA Blocks list page.
